Block buster has that rental deal going where you can rent as many games or movies you want for a week, so we decided to have a fun weekend. While the boys played my sister and I went shopping :)

This is Uncle Ryan sitting in Brent's chair. I was surprised at the fit! And I had to take a picture cause he just looks so silly!

Fourth of July!
I didn't take pictures (shame on me) But for the fourth of July we went over to Josh's aunts house and swam. Brent just loved the little boat that she had in the pool. Josh couldn't get him out of it. Our plan after that was to go to my parents house, eat hot dogs and watch fire works! we stopped by Albertsons on the way to pick up a few things, but as we were turning in, our tire popped! It was getting late but we were pretty close to a Big O. No luck, they were closed. Josh put the donut on and we drove down the road looking for an open tire place. The only one open was walmart and there was a guy there just before us who wanted all of his tires changed and they said it was going to take almost two hours just to do his! Who does that on the fourth of July!? Who just up and decides that they want to get some new tires? fireworks and hot dogs? No thanks I think I'm going to go get all new tires put on. sheesh!
We ended up going back home. The spare did not look as though it was in a good condition to begin with, and we didn't feel safe driving anymore than we had to on it. we cooked some hot dogs still on our little grill and walked down the street a ways were you could kind of see some of the fireworks. A majority of the time it was just a glow above the houses but every now and then you could see part of a fire work. We also decided that watching the mini series John Adams would also be appropriate.
Yesterday we went to Derricks second Nephrologist apt. Not much went on. He reiterated what he said last time and told us the same info that the Dr. who did the ultrasound gave us. But when we informed him of Derricks recent diagnosis, his eyes got just a little wider and then he gave him an exam. He said he would be willing to work with his other dr. and if we wanted to do follow ups with him we could or wanted some genetic counseling. He was very willing to work with us.
I initially dressed him in this outfit for his Aunt Stacey. She is a fan of softball. He is so happy! I know I say that all the time, but its only because its true and I appreciate that about him. :) I especially love the picture below where he is just like "what? I have drool? where?"
Derrick is discovering so much of his body. He likes his hands and will just stare at them and grab at them. He also likes his mouth. He spits and sticks out his tongue and sometimes he will suck in his bottom lip (pictured below) When he does this he reminds me of the little dinosaur on a show, of which I can't remember the name of. He used to say 'not da mama' if that helps.
