What an evening!

The babies are finally in bed! Yay! Not that I don't love them to pieces, but it was just time. You know how you can just tell that its time for a nap or time for bed? It was sure time :)

We are trying to start a compost pile for our garden, and it has been hard to start. I hate having to put my shoes on and walk outside across the yard just to dump some scraps. And hard to remember, but I guess It will get easier the more I actually do it. ( I should really just suck it up) I have been trying to be diligent the past few days in doing this and tonight when I took out some stuff I came back and the door was shut. Brent must have shut it. But I went to open it and it was locked! I couldn't believe my 2 year old had just locked me out of the house. I tried for some time to get him to unlock it, and he tried but I don't think he understood, or could see where the little lever was. I was going to go around, but then I remembered Josh locked the back gate with a pad lock and I have no idea where the key is.....and it sure wasn't outside. Luckily I remembered that I didn't lock the front door after some guests left a few minutes earlier. Now All I had to do was jump the fence. No sweat right? I'm in great physical shape! NOT!!! I did however manage to get up there, and realized that our walls may be brick, but those bricks are THIN! I jumped down, scraped my hand up and since it had rained the past week off and on, my foot sank into the mud and I lost my shoe! I managed to get it out of the mud and made it back into the house to rescue my babies who had locked me out. What fun adventures we have!

HAHAHA! I have been locked out before. Little stinkers! So glad you left the front door unlocked. I could just see you busting one of your windows to get in! LOL!
